Account Sharing

In 2024, BarTV Sports has developed systems to detect and block user subscription sharing on our network.

Accounts watching videos from more than 3 devices will have their playback interrupted and be advised to either reset their password (if they are the legitimate owner of the account) or subscribe. 

Why are we doing this?

For the majority of our subscription-based coverage, we split our profits the governing competition (or clubs). Simply put, they get money back - which helps cut their costs of production, boosts their own revenue and helps feed money back into grassroots sport. Not only do we need to protect our own services, but we also need to protect the competitions who we are lucky to count as our valued clients. Ensuring matches can only be watched by legitimate subscribers helps product their product (and ours).

Restrictions on account sharing are part of our Terms and Conditions.
