Warilla-Lake South Gorillas

Warilla Lake South Gorillas began in 1965 as a junior club. After several seasons playing in the lower grades, the Gorillas entered First Grade in 1969.

The Gorillas won their maiden First Grade title in 1978. More titles followed in the 80’s and 90’s. Their 1982 premiership was capped off with the Clayton Cup, the best Country Rugby League club for that year.

Warilla's lats premiership was in 2022, defeating Gerringong Lions 16-14 in a nail biting Grand Final at Centenary Field.

2024 STATS: Finished 4th, Played 18, Won 9, Drawn 1, Lost 8

Warilla again played Finals Footy last season, but bowed out in Week 2 to Shellharbour Sharks 34-10 in the Minor Semi Final.
